Well, I almost made it a year with consistent, weekly updates. In the COMICS section, anyway.

Then my eyes crapped out on me. I have diabetic retinopathy, so my eyes, which were always shit to begin with, are worse now, even though I keep my blood sugar under constant surveillance and in check.

So how can I do COMICS? I can’t until this improves, if it does. I probably could squeeze out a SILHOUETTE, as they really don’t take very long and I’m not really drawing anything, or maybe even a SUGGESTIVE SALES, as they don’t take much longer, and all the characters (so far) are already drawn, but I can’t sit down at my desk and draw LOOK for COFFINS with pen and ink and I don’t really give a shit about the others.

I know, from the numbers and research, that nobody read or responded to LOOK for COFFINS nearly as much as the SILHOUETTES or SUGGESTIVE SALES, but that’s the one I enjoyed doing, and it’s my fucking name at the top of the page.

But the COMICS will remain archived here until my eyes get fixed, or… let’s try not to think about the alternative.

I was about a month ahead when my eyes rebelled, and still have one LOOK for COFFINS left. It wraps up no loose ends and explains nothing, but then I was anticipating the story to go on for about a decade, so what can you do? It’ll have to remain unfinished, for the time being. I’ll post that episode soon, so it’s at the top of these updates instead of this textual depression.

I had to wait a few weeks into my ailment before I could say anything here. You wouldn’t have wanted to read what I had to say then, and I would’ve snapped the keyboard into pieces before I was finished anyway.

My family and friends have been a big help and will continue to be, of course; that’s who they are. I know I’m not easy to be around currently, so, thanks.

Extra special thanks to Veronica, who puts up with me the most, and comforts me the most, and uses Strange Magics (like love) to make me feel better about things. You are the best.

So. I’m hoping this is just a hiatus and I’m hoping I’ll see everybody again soon.

P.S. - I have hundreds of thousands of WORDS that are not up on this Web site, and Brian and I have dozens of SONGS in various forms of completion that cannot be found here yet either, so check back periodically as these will trickle through as soon as I can get someone to assist me.
